NOMAD - Fusion Frame Sculpture

Repurposed Antique American Frame (19c wood & gesso) unified with Fir Tree Branch reclaimed from the McKenzie River Wilderness in the Willamette National Forest of Oregon.

The frame, with its earthy leaf & berry ornamentation, originally brightly gilded, now bears a weathered, oxidized copper finish. Its running pattern flows through a hollow to completely coalesce with the venerable, travelling branch.
