BENDER - Fusion Frames NW Sculpture

Repurposed Vintage Wood Frame acquired from Oregon Coast antique dealer, unified with Reclaimed Scorched Manzanita Branch from Central Oregon Wilderness.

Both the frame and branch retain their original coloring, while hand-applied rusted steel rivets introduce an industrial counterpoint to the organic forms. The sculpture's dramatic union of frame and branch blurs the line between object and boundary, creating a composition that feels both grounded and in motion.

To me, Bender feels adaptable, resilient, and quietly determined. A presence that embraces life's unexpected turns with strength and grace, allowing change to become part of its character rather than something to resist. The twists and weathered contours speak not of imperfection, but of experience, revealing a resilience shaped through challenge rather than ease.
