SHILOH - Fusion Frames NW Sculpture

Repurposed Antique Frame (wood and gesso) acquired from an antique merchant in the Rogue River Valley of Oregon unified with a pair of Driftwood Branches reclaimed from the Lincoln City area on the Oregon Coast.

The frame was acquired many years ago from an antique store that narrowly escaped a terrible fire at the time. Sadly, that store has since been lost to another fire. This frame is one of the surviving pieces. Originally gold, it was damaged by time and wear. It has been restored while preserving some of its weathered character – reflecting its journey. Additionally, it has been tinted to complement the nature endowed sun-bleached qualities of its new companions, the driftwood branches.

In Shiloh, I am reminded to cherish the beauty in what has endured through time, and to embrace the character that evolves with age.
